The Game

Video poker is an extremely popular game in the casino. William Hill Casino has created its Jacks or Better Draw Poker game with authentic sound and outstanding sharpness. You can choose to play with coin values of 20p, 50p, £1, and £5. Your total wager determines the amount of your payout.

The multi-player video poker game at William Hill Casino allows players to chat with one another while they play online. You can even observe others play video poker without playing yourself.

How It Works

Once you have entered the William Hill Casino lobby, select Video Poker from the games menu in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. From the list of available video poker machines, select Jacks or Better Draw Poker.

You can choose to play either at your own private machine or at one of a bank of four machines, surrounded by other William Hill Casino players. If you wish to play at a private machine, choose Private play to be directed to your own private game. If you wish to play among other video poker machine players at William Hill Casino, choose Multi Player after Jacks or Better Draw Poker.

The Join room shows the banks of machines in the different rooms. You get information if the banks of machine are a Reserved, Public or Practice bank on the same screen. Move along the different gaming rooms by clicking the arrows above the tables. Select a vacant machine at a public or reserved bank of machines by clicking on the machines.

You can take any vacant seat at a public bank of machines, but to join a reserved bank of machines, you must first ask permission of that bank of machines sponsor. If you join a reserved bank of machines a Request To Join dialog box will open. Enter your request-to-join message in the box and press Send. The sponsor will receive your message and accept or decline your request to join.

You can take a new public or reserved bank of machines by clicking on an empy bank of machines. If you open a reserved bank of machines, you will become the sponsor and all request-to-join messages from hopeful players will be directed to you. By using the buttons Guest Book and Settings in the bottom left corner you can access the guest book and game settings function.

How To Play

The object of video draw poker is to obtain a five-card poker hand that contains at least one pair of jacks or better. The better your hand, the better your payoff.

Your account sum is automatically transferred into credits in the machine when the machine is selected and removed when you exit the game. You select the denomination in the slot game by pressing the + and - buttons in the lower left corner. The selected denomination will be displayed in the field between the + and - buttons and also on the machine. For example, if your casino balance is £100 and you select to play the Jack in the Box for 25p coins, your credit balance will show 400 credits (£100 X 25p). Next, choose the total amount that you wish to wager in the round by clicking on the Bet One button up to five times. If you choose to wager the maximum amount (the machine denomination x 5) simply push the Bet Max button. If you press the Bet Max button, your cards will be dealt automatically. If you use the Bet One button to select the number of wagered coins, you must press the Deal button to receive your cards.

You may draw up to five new cards to improve your hand. To keep individual cards, click on the cards or on the Hold button beneath the cards. Then when you press Deal, you will receive new cards in the positions of the cards that were not held.

Your account sum is automatically removed when you exit the game and your money will be returned to your total credit balance. You may also cash out to receive your credits in the machine by clicking on your casino balance card to the right of the machine. To exit the game room and return to the main menu click on the Exit button.
